Enamel Cloisonne Tulips Earrings 

Fine Silver Tulips earrings are made in glass vitreous enamel.  Earrings are made in the shape of shield and have French style ear wires that clip. 

Vitreous enamel, also called porcelain enamel, it's when material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing. The powder melts in the special kiln at 1500 degree F, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating. Don't be fooled with cold enamel (resin), which doesn't require firings in the kiln.
