Guilloché enamel is a technique popularized in the 1880s by Peter Carl Fabergé, best known for his Fabergé eggs, in which a surface is engraved with an intricate repeating pattern and then covered with glass enamel. This sunburst pattern reflects light through the enamel in different ways depending on the angle.
It's been fires several times at 1450 degrees. Set in sterling silver vintage looking frame. Back is adorned with intricate filigree design element through which back side of the enamel piece is shows. Bail is made in shape of fleur de lis. Chain is sterling silver and it is 18" long.
Approximate size of the pendant 2" long including fleur de lis ele and about 1" wide.
